There is no other way of saying it… but … Nominations for The Philippine Blog Awards 2008 officially starts today. Although there were a few eager beavers who were already able to send in their nominations a few days ago. Kudos to their resourcefulness. A few changes to this year’s awards. Three (3) awards divisions and a total of THIRTY-SIX (36) award categories will be open for nomination. This reflects the growing richness and diversity of the Philippine Blogging Community.

The PBA is truly growing and it is only on its second year.

Updates! Updates!

Hi folks! The Blog Awards is definitely happening but the date we set our sights on was not feasible. The committee is moving the event to July 2008 because of two things: the first is because we’re still looking for an available venue that can accommodate a lot of people at a good price and second, because we’re waiting for the incorporation papers.

The latter is important because the committee needs to issue receipts as a non stock, non profit group to the sponsors. In the meantime, we’d like to wish everyone a safe vacation for the Holy Week!

New Year, new design

Happy New Year!!!

To start off 2008, we’ve just finished the new theme for the 2nd Philippine Blog Awards. Most of the pages are still under construction (because yep, there will be some changes and we still need to update content). The theme by itself is ready, but still need debugging.

Many thanks to Karla Redor for lending us her photos for use on the header. Those header photos randomly change upon refresh. There aren’t many photos yet, so if you’d like to lend us your photos (it must be of last year’s Awards Night), we’d love to hear from you. You can email me through kutitots(at)gmail(dot)com.

Help us spread the word about the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards! You can get a copy of our new logo on this page. We’re also looking for volunteers for the upcoming Awards Night. And if you’re interested to sponsor, drop us a line and we’ll be in touch.
