Due to some confusion regarding the three Bloggers’ Choice Special Awards (National, Visayas, and Mindanao), we will be re–opening the nominations for these categories. For now, blogs who intend to be considered are requested to write an entry/blog post stating their intention for joining, with a brief message for their readers and all bloggers explaining why they deserve the chance to win that award.
Use the URL/permanent link for that post and submit it to us once using the appropriate form:
- Form: I wish to join the Bloggers’ Choice Special Award (National)
- Form: I wish to join the Bloggers’ Choice Special Award (Visayas)
- Form: I wish to join the Bloggers’ Choice Special Award (Mindanao)
This is not the voting round yet so there’s no need to submit your entry’s link more than once; we will be announcing the mechanics for that in about a week’s time. Also, if you’ve previously submitted your blog for any of the three Bloggers’ Choice categories (using the old system), there is no need to write an “I am Joining” post—but we encourage you to do so to make sure your readers know about your entry to the award. Blogs from Visayas and Mindanao may also join the National category.
Note that blogs submitted will still be evaluated against the current guidelines for eligibility.
In addition, we are announcing that you have until the end of September 11, 2009 to submit your entries for the Top Ten Best Posts Special Award. Please submit up to five of your best entries per blog, as long as the entries were published before August 28, 2009.
